The innocence of youth
Well even the Sable in wild world talks about how Tom Nook has changed from a cheerful dude to a Raccoon who seem to be all about the money. From what Sable told the player Nook is just in a semi dark place because things did’nt work out in the city for me and now he’d came back to the town still trying to make his dream come true. From what i can tell in New Leaf Nook has seem to have gotten out of that funk and seems to be happy.
Just remember that we all like to make jokes about Nook acting like a loan shark but really you have all the god given time to pay Nook off. I have more fear knowing i’m going to be major of a town than i am of paying Nook off.
An important reminder that the universe has three spatial dimensions and is best appreciated with all three engaged*.
